GLC-TE (mini GBIC) | Cisco Original 1000BASE-T Standard SFP Module | EXT Temp The GLC-TE Cisco 1000BASE-T SFP module is a small form-factor pluggable (SFP) device that allows for the connection of a network device to a Gigabit Ethernet network. It is compliant with the IEEE 802.3 standard for 1000BASE-T (Gigabit Ethernet over twisted pair cable). It is designed to operate in extended temperature ranges, making it suitable for use in environments where the temperature may fluctuate between -5 to 85°C (23 to 185°F). This makes it ideal for use in environments where high-speed data transmission is required, such as in office networks or data centres. The GLC-TE Cisco 1000BASE-T Standard SFP Module can be used in a variety of networking applications, including switches, routers, and other networking equipment. It is designed to support the transmission of data over Category 5 (Cat5) or Category 6 (Cat6) UTP (unshielded twisted pair) cables, and is capable of reaching distances of up to 100 meters (328 feet). The module include support for auto-negotiation and flow control, as well as full-duplex operation. It is also compliant with a variety of industry standards, including IEEE 802.3ab and Cisco Quality of Service (QoS) standards. Furthermore, the module incorporates a built-in digital diagnostic monitoring (DDM) feature, which allows for the monitoring of the module's status and performance.
