The Omnipure E5633/E5640 Acid Washed GAC Cartridge was made to fit Omnipure E-Series heads as well as existing Everpure® heads with a collar. This filter reduces chlorine, taste, and odor and has a capacity of 2500 gallons. The new E-Series was designed for those customers that are using existing permanent heads but would like an alternative to the replacement bodies offered. They offer equal or superior filtration capability at a considerably lower price than comparable OEM filters. Because micro-pores match the size of contaminant molecules in drinking water, they are highly effective in trapping contaminants. The "33" in the part number originally denoted Bituminous Coal whereas the "40" denoted Coconut Shell Activated Carbon. Now that Coconut Shell is used for all filters, the “33” and “40” no longer represent the type of
