The HPE Aruba JL308A is a 40Gbps QSFP+ BiDi optical transceiver designed for high-speed 40 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity over duplex multimode fiber. Using bidirectional optical technology with duplex LC connectors, it supports transmission distances of up to 150 meters on OM4 multimode fiber while reducing fiber infrastructure requirements compared to traditional MPO-based 40G optics. The hot-swappable QSFP+ form factor enables quick installation and replacement without disrupting network operations, while Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) provides real-time diagnostics for optical performance and module health. Designed for compatibility with HPE Aruba networking equipment, the JL308A delivers reliable, energy-efficient connectivity for enterprise campus, aggregation, and data center deployments.
